Marisol Saens

Marisol Saens is a dedicated ESL educator at Coastline College, where she has been teaching since 2015. With a strong foundation in language and education, Marisol holds a Master’s degree in Human Development with a focus on Adult Education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA, as well as TESOL certificates from both Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Barcelona, Spain, and LinguaEdge in Beverly Hills, CA. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Her passion for teaching began at an early age when she moved to Venezuela at the age of 15, where she started teaching while still in high school. This experience of adapting to a new language and culture gave her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by language learners. Marisol’s own journey as an immigrant has shaped her empathetic approach to teaching. She is especially inspired by her students at Coastline College, admiring their hard work and gratitude. Through her scholarship contributions, she continues to support and empower ESL students, helping them succeed in their academic and personal journeys.
