Moreno Trust Coastline Community College Scholarship
The Moreno Trust established an annual endowed scholarship for Coastline Community College students that have an interest in Social, Psychology or Political Science fields leading to academic studies directed towards professional careers impacting the homeless issue, particularly for unhoused youth, students and veterans in our community.

Homelessness is a social phenomenon. The definition of homelessness, is the "state of having no home or permanent place of residence.” Homelessness can take many forms and has many reasons, such as lack of structural support, job loss, lack of planning and more.
In order to be considered for this scholarship, write an essay explaining your background and how your chosen career path will contribute to improve your community's unhoused populations. Explain in detail how your education and degree path will guide you in your journey. Please share any personal history, volunteerism and personal observations that may contribute to the solution. The essay must be well-written, share examples and contain a minimum of 500 words (and no more than 1,000 words maximum).

- Please list your volunteer activities in the past three years, including name(s) of the organization or social service agency (and the City) where you volunteered to assist the unhoused population. You may also share if you received services or support from a homeless or social service agency.
